Tethered, destroyed

3.5' x 1.89' x 0.67'
Sticks, glue,

This sculpture represents the artist’s time and reflection of “safe-at-home.” The playing card numbers represent the weeks passing- week four she went crazy, weeks six and seven she built this sculpture. It’s a reflection of time within the pandemic and how she chose to remember time passing. The cards signify her life, blowing in the wind, while being tethered in one spot, safe in her home. This sculpture started as an assignment, but became much more in growing my art practice. A public art installation, this sculpture was destroyed by the forces of nature and water.
